Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Fitis app ("Fitis", "we") collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using Fitis you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your name and email address from Sign in with Apple or Google. If you choose "Hide My Email", we only receive Apple's private relay address.
Profile & fitness data — gender, age, height, weight, fitness goal and level, available equipment, injury notes, workouts, sets, progress logs, body measurements, meals, food and water logs.
Photos — only the photos you choose to upload: profile picture, body-scan / progress photos, meal photos for calorie estimation, and photos you share in chat or the community feed.
Content you create — messages to the AI coach or a human coach, community posts and comments.
Purchases — your subscription status and purchase history. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your card details.
Device & usage data — a push-notification token, app interactions and crash diagnostics collected through Firebase.

We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not sell your data, and we do not show third-party advertising.

2. How we use it

To create your account and personalize workout and nutrition plans.
To power AI features (AI coach, meal photo analysis, body scan, program generation).
To connect you with a coach you choose and to run the community feed.
To verify subscriptions, send notifications you enable, and fix bugs.

3. Third-party AI processing

When you use an AI feature, the content needed for that request — your message, the photo you submitted, and relevant profile data such as goal, age, height and weight — is sent to OpenRouter, which forwards it to the underlying AI model provider (currently Google Gemini). AI coach replies may be converted to speech by OpenAI. These providers process the data only to return a response to us. Fitis asks for your permission before your first use of AI features, and you can use the rest of the app without them.

4. Service providers we share data with

Google Firebase — sign-in, analytics, crash reporting and push notifications.
OpenRouter / Google / OpenAI — AI processing as described above.
Apple — Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases.
Your coach — if you choose a human coach, they can see your profile, plans, progress and your chat with them.
Other users — community posts, comments, your display name and avatar are visible to other Fitis users.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, logs, photos, messages, posts and purchase records from our servers. Active App Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in your Apple ID settings.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Health information

Fitis is a general fitness tool, not a medical device. Health and fitness data you enter is used only to provide the service and is never used for advertising.

8. Children

Fitis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

You can access and edit your profile in the app, delete your account in the app, and contact us to request a copy of your data or ask any privacy question. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California) you may have additional rights, which we honor.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
